Job Title: Programme Assistant, Community & Feedback Mechanism

Locations: Shani, Borno and Bade, Yobe
Employment Type: Full-time
Slots: 6 Openings (Shani – Borno x4 and Bade – Yobe x2)

Description

  • ActionAid Nigeria is inviting applications from qualified candidates to fill the following positions on the World Food Programme (WFP) funded projected implemented in Shani, Borno State and Bade, Yobe State.
  • Programme Assistant, Community and Feedback Mechanism; Accountability to affected Population (Protection), Social Cohesion and Peace Building-WFP-BMZ Project (Shani – Borno x4 and Bade – Yobe x2)
  • The post holder will support the Protection Officer in working with programme staff and beneficiaries to develop structure and methods for managing the complaints and feedback in the field as well as maintaining the integrity of information received.

Person Specification
Education / Qualifications:

  • At least National Diploma in Social Sciences or Arts / Humanities is essential
  • Membership of relevant professional bodies and agencies is desirable.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 2 years related experience is essential.
  • Experience in implementation of accountability and complaints reporting mechanisms in Nigeria is essential.
  • Related experience on WFP funded project is desirable.

Skill / Abilities:

  • Strong communication and writing skills.
  • Excellent report-writing skills
  • Confidentiality and highly numerate
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and Negotiation skills
  • Research and analytical skills
  • Excellent strategic planning skills
  • Demonstrable IT skills, tact, and diplomacy
  • Demonstrated ability to work effectively with senior political, community, and civic leaders as well as members of the donor and diplomatic community.
