Job Title: Inventory Officer

Job Profile

  • This role is responsible to participate in the development of Hospital policies and procedures

Summary of Responsibilities

  • Plan, organize, direct, manage and evaluate the inventory management activities of Lagoon Hospitals
  • Develop and communicate inventory management processes, policies and procedures
  • Direct and manage corporate governance and regulatory compliance procedures related to inventory management operations
  • Monitor inventory levels and inventory movement using manual and computerized inventory systems
  • Review compiled inventory reports (quantity, type and value of materials and stock on hand)
  • Develop and implement profit improvement plans and change management plans
  • Develop key performance indicators to measure the effectiveness of the inventory management operations
  • Conduct investigations into inventory management incidents in order to verify and resolve complaints
  • Responsible for actual inventory counts; must be knowledgeable about inventory items to be counted, the counting procedures used, and location of all inventories

  • Average % of explainable stock variances
  • Number of times management reports are delivered within prescribed TAT
  • Inventory Turnover
  • Number of pending postings
  • Inventory days of supply

Job Qualifications

  • First Degree or equivalent in any discipline but preferably a numerate discipline
  • CISPM is desirable
  • 0 – 2 years’ experience is desirable.
