We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Information Technology (IT) and Innovations Manager
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time

Responsibilities
The role will involve, but is not limited, to the following:

  • Develop and execute an IT roadmap aligned with organizational goals and objectives.
  • Monitor daily operations, including hardware, software, and operating systems.
  • Evaluate, select, and implement advanced technologies and systems to optimize operations.
  • Manage and coordinate all IT-related matters, including data, wireless communications, mobile technology, telephony, security, and computer hardware and software.
  • Coordinate technology installations, upgrades, and maintenance.
  • Test, troubleshoot, and modify information systems so that they operate effectively
  • Oversee the annual IT budget and ensure cost-effectiveness.
  • Monitor network utilisation and performance, and implement procedures for network optimization, reliability, and availability.
  • Evaluate technology risks to develop a disaster recovery plan and backup procedures.
  • Remain up to date with advances in technology and industry best practices, including driving the application of Artificial Intelligence (AI) solutions to optimise workflows, processes, and outputs.
  • Evaluate and recommend AI solutions that can optimize organisational processes, enhance data analysis capabilities, improve decision-making and implement AI-driven strategies in health communication initiatives.
  • Oversee and determine timeframes for major IT projects, including system updates, upgrades, migrations, and outages.
  • Research and recommend the acquisition/development of required technologies.
  • Lead the procurement process for new software, including vendor evaluation, contract.
  • Manage and maintain the organization’s website.
  • Lead the creation of site content and features to continually improve the website user experience and support the organization’s goals and strategies.
  • Manage the website’s content, including populating the website with new content as required.
  • Create new pages and functionalities.
  • Implement/maintain/sunset plugins and bespoke code solutions.
  • Edit and audit existing content, including removing outdated content.
  • Ensure websiteand perform software updates.
  • Complete tests to ensure website efficiency and quality.
  • Ensure domain registration and hosting are current.
  • Ensure website functionality and perform software updates

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field.
  • Proven experience in managing IT infrastructure and applications, including AI and software solutions
  • At least 5 years of experience in Information technology.
  • Experience with software development technologies, computer networks, network administration, and network installation.
  • Proficient in computer hardware, wireless technology applications and interface, and IT security.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Windows 10 and 11, Windows Server environment, including Microsoft Azure AD, Microsoft 365 environment, and cloud technologies.
  • Management and leadership skills.
  • Multi-tasking and time-management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks.
  • Highly organized and detail oriented.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skill
