We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Staff Nurse

Location: Warri, Delta
Employment Type: Full-time

Position Overview

  • As a Staff Nurse, you will play a crucial role in promoting the health and well-being of our students and staff.
  • You will be responsible for providing medical care, administering treatments, managing medical records, and offering health education programs to promote healthy lifestyles.

Key Responsibilities

  • Provide first aid and emergency care to students and staff as needed.
  • Administer medications and treatments according to physician’s orders and school policies.
  • Monitor student health and conduct health assessments when necessary.
  • Maintain accurate and confidential medical records for all students and staff.
  • Collaborate with parents, teachers, and healthcare professionals to address health concerns and promote student well-being.
  • Develop and implement health education programs to promote healthy lifestyles and disease prevention.
  • Participate in school safety and emergency preparedness drills and activities.
  • Keep abreast of current health trends, treatments, and medications relevant to school-aged children.

Qualifications

  • Registered Nurse (RN) with a valid license to practice
  • CPR and First Aid certification.
  • Previous experience working with children and adolescents preferred.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to remain calm and effective in emergency situations.
  • Knowledge of school health policies and regulations.
  • Commitment to maintaining confidentiality and upholding ethical standards in healthcare.
