Enough is Enough Nigeria (EiE) is a coalition of individuals and youth organizations committed to instituting a culture of good governance and public accountability in Nigeria through advocacy, activism and the mobilization of the youth population as responsible citizens. We are non partisan, neither are we a platform for the actualization of any individual’s political ambitions.

Our ambitious goal is to mobilize 10 million young people, cutting across religious, ethnic and socio economic divides in the country to be actively engaged in the electoral process by 2015.

Job Title: Programs Associate

Job Description

  • We are looking for a person who is passionate and capable of quick thinking, fact-finding, analysis and possesses excellent writing skills.

The Programs Associate will be responsible for the following:

  • Generate innovative project ideas and strategies related to EiE’s mission and goals.
  • Maintain official records, documents and internal/external communications as appropriate.
  • Ensure project documents are complete, current and stored appropriately.
  • Develop project proposals.
  • Collect performance data on programs and activities, for evaluation and strategic review and reporting purposes.
  • Minimize exposure to risks on projects and ensure project / program outcomes are consistently achieved.
  • Develop and monitor program budgets.
  • Provide correspondence to the Programs Lead on projects managed.
  • Prepare general proposals and applications to external bodies, e.g. for funding and contractual purposes.
  • Maintain and implement funding calendar activities.
  • Understand the organisation’s objectives and programs to know funding agencies to recommend.
  • Build external contacts and participate in external networks for the exchange of information and to form relationships for future collaboration.
  • Research and recommend potential funding sources to the organisation.
  • Work with community agencies, organisations and institutions as appropriate to carry out organisational and program goals.
  • Engage stakeholders in advocacy to advance EiE’s mission and goals.
  • Ability to gather and analyse information skillfully.
  • Ability to fact-check proposals and statements.
  • Ability to work according to set timelines and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to perform extensive research on diverse topics.
  • Understand and manage the grant process.
  • Ability to write clearly, precisely and informatively
  • Ability to vary writing style to meet needs.
  • Ability to create solid writing from minimal information
  • Ability to excellently use Microsoft Office suite (Word, PowerPoint and Excel).
  • Ability to work and contribute effectively and efficiently in a team.
  • Understands the objectives and projects of the organisation to tailor writing needs.
  • Ability to follow sponsor’s/grantor’s specifications and guidelines when applying for grants.
  • Ability to perform budgeting functions for the purpose of grant applications.

Requirements

  • Minimum of a Bachelor’s Degree.
  • 3 years of work experience in a similar role.
  • Proficient in research, interpreting and analysing diverse data.
  • Apt knowledge and interest in governance and politics.
