Job Title: Programs Associate

Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Position Type: Mostly remote, with occasional in-person attendance required for events in and outside of Abuja.

Job Overview

  • The ProgramsAssociate will play a critical role in planning, implementing, and overseeing EmpowerHerTech Foundation’s programs and initiatives.
  • This position requires a dynamic individual with strong organizational skills, tech savvy, strategic thinking, innovative, and a commitment to driving positive change

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement innovative programs and initiatives to empower women through technology education and skill development and support the mission of EmpowerHerTech foundation
  • Lead all aspects of program planning, execution, and evaluation to ensure successful outcomes.
  • Build and maintain relationships with partners, volunteers, participants, and community members.
  • Identify funding opportunities, write grant proposals, and secure resources to support program activities.
  • Establish monitoring and evaluation frameworks to assess program impact and drive continuous improvement.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure alignment and integration of programmatic efforts.
  • Seek and cultivate partnerships with organizations and stakeholders to advance EmpowerHerTech Foundation’s mission.
  • Represent EmpowerHerTech Foundation at events, conferences, and networking opportunities to raise awareness.
  • Identify marginalized and underserved communities in need of technology empowerment programs, tailoring initiatives to meet their specific needs.
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and support to program staff, volunteers, and partners.
  • Prepare regular reports and updates on program activities, outcomes, and impact for stakeholders.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years’ experience in program management, preferably in the nonprofit sector.
  • Demonstrated success in leading and implementing programs that drive positive impact and change.
  • Proven ability to effectively manage multiple priorities and projects simultaneously.
  • Strong project management skills with a track record of delivering projects on time and within budget.
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and relationship-building skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with diverse stakeholders.
  • Experience working with and advocating for marginalized communities, particularly women from underserved backgrounds.
  • In-depth knowledge of technology, digital literacy, and issues related to women’s empowerment.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office and project management software.
  • Experience in grant writing, fundraising, or resource mobilization is highly desirable.
  • Experience in partnership development and stakeholder engagement, particularly in the context of nonprofit organizations or community-based initiatives.
  • Demonstrated ability to analyze program data and metrics to inform decision-making and drive continuous improvement.
  • Familiarity with monitoring and evaluation methodologies to assess program effectiveness and impact.
  • Experience in capacity building and providing training or workshops to diverse groups.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve shared objectives.

Salary
N60,000 / month.
