We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Junior Legal Counsel

Job Description
As part of this program you will work with legal counsel colleagues and will:

  • Assist with or under guidance draw up and/or comment on multitude contracts, as required by internal clients in connection with their respective business
  • Assist legal counsel to draft and review agreements and other legal documents such as power of attorneys, notifications, letters to be sent to authorities
  • Assist with any legal related/ administration activities, including research and seeking legal opinions
  • Assist with document handling and supervision (board resolutions, power of attorneys, contracts,)
  • Assist with coordinating external law firms, organizing the data gathered from relevant departments related to litigation cases, preparation of litigation reports.
  • Assist with and under guidance handle entity governance and issues related to entities.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Law.
  • Should have graduated in 2021/2022/2023
  • Have completed NYSC
  • Must passed the final Bar exam in Nigeria
  • Must have registration from Council of Legal Education
  • Must have excellent English written and communication skills.

  • Understanding of Law, Contract Law, Corporate Governance, legal systems and international contractual principles and fundamentals of dispute resolution before the courts.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft office.
