Job Title: Grants  Writing and Resource Mobilization Officer

Area of Proposal Interest: Innovation in Health Care, Education technology, Agric-food system/Nutrition, Environment/Climate change, and livelihoods development

Location: Abuja (FCT) MUST BE LIVING IN ABUJA-FCT

Employment Type: (Hybrid)

Overview: The Grant writing and Resource Mobilisation Officer is responsible for creating, developing, and submitting grant proposals on behalf of our organization. The Grants Writing and Resources Mobilisation Officer plays a pivotal role in researching, composing, and managing grant proposals and funding applications on behalf of the organization. She/he collaborate closely with stakeholders, gather pertinent information, and craft compelling narratives to secure financial support and resources for various projects and initiatives.

Responsibilities
The Proposal Writer Intern will be expected to carry out the following activities:

1: Research and Analysis:

  • Conduct comprehensive research to identify funding opportunities from diverse sources, including government agencies, foundations, and private institutions.
  • Analyze eligibility criteria, guidelines, and requirements for each potential grant or funding opportunities.

2: Proposal Development

  • Collaborate with internal teams to gather information and develop project concepts aligned with funding priorities.
  • Create and draft compelling grant proposals, ensuring adherence to guidelines and strategic alignment with the organization’s objectives.

3: Grant Management

  • Oversee the complete grant application process, from submission to post-award requirements.
  • Maintain a database of grant applications, deadlines, and progress updates.

4: Building Relationships

  • Cultivate and maintain relationships with funders, partners, and stakeholders to enhance funding prospects and partnerships.
  • Attend meetings, conferences, and networking events to stay updated on industry trends and funding opportunities.
  • Support with any other duties as assigned by the supervisor.

Requirements

  • Candidates must have a personal laptop
  • Degree in English, Public Health, Social Sciences, or any other related field.
  • Previous experience in proposal writing preferred.
  • Familiarity with qualitative and quantitative research processes will be an added advantage.
  • Ability to communicate effectively in writing.
  • Must have excellent organization skills and be able to work under pressure to meet deadlines.
  • Strong attention to detail, with a quality-focused mindset.
  • Ability to work independently, problem-solve, and enlist support, when needed.
  • Capacity to use Microsoft office suites is required.

Remuneration

  • Monthly Salary (Negotiable)
