Job Description
- We are seeking a result oriented and highly skilled Public Relations Consultant to join our team and help us enhance our reputation, communicate effectively with our stakeholders, and promote our mission and initiatives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and execute strategic public relations plans to increase the Institute’s visibility and influence.
- Cultivate relationships with media outlets, journalists, and influencers to secure positive coverage.
- Create and distribute press releases, news stories, and other materials to the media.
- Manage the Institute’s social media presence and engage with the online community.
- Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
- Monitor and analyze media coverage and provide insights and recommendations.
- Organize and coordinate events, conferences, and webinars to promote the Institute’s work.
- Respond to media inquiries and prepare spokespeople for interviews and public appearances.
- Stay updated on industry trends and best practices in public relations.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Public Relations, Communications, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven experience as a Public Relations Consultant or similar role.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills.
- Excellent media relations and networking abilities.
- Proficiency in social media management and digital marketing.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong organizational and project management skills.
- Knowledge of the information management field is a plus.
