Rainoil Limited is an integrated downstream oil and gas company. A prominent player in the Nigerian industry, the company’s operations span across the downstream value chain i.e. Petroleum Product Storage, Haulage/Distribution and Retail Sales. Our primary products include Petrol (PMS), Diesel (AGO) and Kerosene (DPK).
We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Workshop Supervisor
Locations: Delta and Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate the activities of workshop staff to ensure smooth workflow and productivity.
- Monitor workshop operations to ensure compliance with safety regulations and quality standards.
- Plan and allocate resources effectively, including manpower, equipment, and materials.
- Provide training and support to staff to enhance skills and improve performance.
- Conduct regular inspections and maintenance of equipment to prevent downtime.
- Implement and enforce health and safety protocols to maintain a safe working environment.
- Collaborate with management to set production goals and develop strategies to meet them.
- Manage inventory levels and ensure timely procurement of necessary supplies.
- Prepare reports on production progress, staff performance, and workshop activities.
Educational Qualification and Experience
- First Degree (First Class or Second-Class Upper Division) in Mechanical Engineering
- 3 to 4 years relevant experience in the same roles (Workshop Supervisor) in FMCG, Retails and more importantly in Logistics Company is essential.
- Experience in the use of Microsoft Office (Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Word and Microsoft Powerpoint) is essential to this role.
Required Skills:
- Good Communication Skills (both in writing and verbal communication)
- Ability to assist the workshop Manager in ensuring Preventive Maintenance of Trucks (HOWO Trucks, Man Diesel Trucks and Mack Trucks)
- Robust Leadership quality
- Ability to manage a team of Mechanics and Auto-Technician and Vulcanizer
- Good Safety Awareness
- Good inventory management
- Ability to manage team with little or no supervision.
- Proven experience as a Workshop Supervisor or similar role.
- Strong knowledge of workshop operations, equipment, and safety protocols.
- Proficiency in using workshop management software and tools.
