Job Description
- We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time Website Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our small yet dynamic team. As a WordPress Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include managing a few websites and ensuring their optimal functionality, security, and performance. Collaborating closely with our design and marketing teams, you will play a crucial role in implementing web solutions aligned with our business objectives.
Responsibilities
- Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
- Customize and optimize WordPress themes and templates to meet project requirements.
- Ensure website security through the implementation of best practices and security measures.
- Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement website updates and improvements.
- Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, or performance bottlenecks.
- Perform regular website backups and updates.
- Support and maintain existing websites, including making updates, adding new features, and addressing user inquiries.
- Conduct server administration and maintenance tasks to ensure website stability and performance.
- Implement and manage website security measures, including firewalls, malware scanning, and user access controls.
- Conduct regular website backups and administer backup restoration when necessary.
- Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web development.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or OND qualification with 3 – 10 years of work experience.
- Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role.
- Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
- Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS and its ecosystem.
- Experience with responsive web design principles.
- Familiarity with SEO best practices.
- Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
- Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
- Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.
Nice-to-Have
- Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).
- Knowledge of website optimization techniques.
- Graphic design skills or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.
Salary
N30,000 monthly.
