Job Description

  • We are currently seeking a skilled and experienced Part-Time Website Developer with expertise in WordPress to join our small yet dynamic team. As a WordPress Specialist, your primary responsibilities will include managing a few websites and ensuring their optimal functionality, security, and performance. Collaborating closely with our design and marketing teams, you will play a crucial role in implementing web solutions aligned with our business objectives.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and maintain WordPress websites, themes, and plugins.
  • Customize and optimize WordPress themes and templates to meet project requirements.
  • Ensure website security through the implementation of best practices and security measures.
  • Collaborate with designers and content creators to implement website updates and improvements.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve website issues, bugs, or performance bottlenecks.
  • Perform regular website backups and updates.
  • Support and maintain existing websites, including making updates, adding new features, and addressing user inquiries.
  • Conduct server administration and maintenance tasks to ensure website stability and performance.
  • Implement and manage website security measures, including firewalls, malware scanning, and user access controls.
  • Conduct regular website backups and administer backup restoration when necessary.
  • Stay up-to-date with industry trends and best practices in web development.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree, HND, or OND qualification with 3 – 10 years of work experience.
  • Proven experience as a WordPress Developer or in a similar role.
  • Proficiency in HTML, CSS, JavaScript, and PHP.
  • Strong knowledge of WordPress CMS and its ecosystem.
  • Experience with responsive web design principles.
  • Familiarity with SEO best practices.
  • Solid problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication and teamwork abilities.
  • Ability to work independently and meet deadlines.

Nice-to-Have

  • Experience with e-commerce platforms (e.g., WooCommerce).
  • Knowledge of website optimization techniques.
  • Graphic design skills or familiarity with Adobe Creative Suite.

Salary
N30,000 monthly.
