Established on October 1, 2004, the organization has actively engaged in a multitude of developmental programs spanning Health, Education, and Socioeconomic development. These initiatives are specifically designed to benefit children, women, young people, and communities, with the overarching goal of bringing smiles to faces.
Village Savings and Loan Association (VSLA)

Overall, Job Purpose:
- The VSLA specialist will provide support to map out groups and build their capacity on: Leadership, Economic Empowerment, Gender and Nutrition and MNCH issues using existing VSLA guidelines and manual in the development and implementation of the project’s strategy to ensure Gender mainstreaming and positive behavioral change for improved demand and utilization of nutrition and MNCH services within a cluster of Local Government Areas. The VSLA Officer will be responsible for establishing, strengthening and coordination of Village Savings and Loans Associations within the Katsina state Communities.Â
- The Village Saving and Loan Association (VSLA) specialist will facilitate and implement all VSLA and related activities, including micro, small and medium enterprises and vocational skills.
- She/He will ensure that all proposed objectives and targets are achieved concerning VSLA activities including guidance to successful formation of VSLAs, Rapid appraisal of IGA, and beneficiary training on business/entrepreneurial skills through the Nutrition project in Katsina state.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience
- Experience in mobilisation and organisation of savings and loans groups processes, including trainings.
- A First Degree in social sciences/arts or communication from a recognized higher institution.
- Excellent writing and oral communication skillsÂ
- Multi-tasking skills.
- Very good interpersonal skills, particularly in networking, and working with communities, local civil society and authorities.
- Excellent computer knowledge and skills of using Microsoft Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Excel
- Sensitive and caring but firm and decisive in managing staff.Â
- Possesses the good nature and character to maneuver the changing environment
Data and FAM Officer:

Overall, Job Purpose:
To carry out medical data collection and entry activities into the organization’s database recording all relevant clinical and demographic data on patients and ensuring data quality/reliability, according to Life Helpers Initiative procedures and maintaining confidentiality while producing the appropriate, updated documents for the medical team in order to support decision making processes.
Qualifications:
- 1-2 years’ experience
- Must have cognate experience Â
- A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree in data management, computer science, Information technology, Health Informatics, Medical statistics/Statistics/Biostatistics, Data Science, or a related field.Â
- Excellent writing and oral communication skills
- Multi-tasking skills, Adept in qualitative and quantitative data management, analysis and research.
- Computer literacy skills, especially word processing and excel
- Sensitive and caring but firm and decisive in managing staff.
- Possesses the good nature and character to maneuver the changing environment
