Job Title: Terminal Manager

Accountabilities

  • Liase with customers, contractors, service providers and distributors regarding terminal operations. 
  • Oversee day-to-day terminal operations, activity, work planning, asset management and maintenance. 
  • Undertake the safe and efficient receipt, storage and loadout of product 
  • Ensure all terminal operations comply with HSSE, quality and engineering standards and legislative requirements.
  • Plan and coordinate operational tasks and activity on site, including minor day- to-day housekeeping and maintenance onsite.
  • Liaise with customers, contractors, service providers and distributors regarding terminal operations.
  • Issue work permits to contractors and monitor their performance and compliance.
  • Manage staff and contractor workloads, issue permits to work, undertake job safety analysis and monitor performance. 
  • Supervise product receipt into tanks from vessels. 
  • Supervise truck loading. 
  • Raise truck loading manifest and loading meter tickets. 
  • Approve the release of meter tickets for product evacuation. 
  • Ensure quality and quantity actualization. 
  • Ensure bulk stock is accounted for. 
  • Prepare daily, weekly and monthly stock reports. 
  • Conduct contractor activity and competency audits including maintaining of records.
  • Supervise all loading activities and personnel (Operations staff Supervisors, Officers and Junior
     Officers) 
  • Other Ad hoc responsibilities.

Requirements

  •  A University Degree (Preferably in either a Science or Engineering course)
  • Minimum of 5-8 years of cognate working experience (Post NYSC) in Depot operations in Bulk Storage Company. 
  • Experienced in depot operations with a flair for logistics.
  • Successful experience in receipt, storage and handling of bulk LPG products.
  • Practical operational skills that are relevant to plant or terminal operations.
  • Contractor management skills
  • Sound problem-solving skills with the ability to identify and address key issues
  • Excellent organizational skills with the ability to handle a number of tasks at the same time
  • Excellent relationship management and interpersonal skills.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
