We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Technical Manager
Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Responsibilities
- Oversee the planning, design, and execution of construction projects from concept to completion
- Manage technical documentation, including drawings, specifications, and approvals
- Coordinate with architects, engineers, and external consultants to ensure design feasibility and compliance
- Review and approve construction drawings and ensure alignment with project goals
- Monitor project progress and resolve technical issues that arise during execution
- Ensure adherence to building codes, health & safety regulations, and environmental standards
- Support the acquisition and development of new sites by preparing technical due diligence reports
- Lead value engineering efforts to optimize design and reduce costs
- Manage technical budgets and control consultant fees and expenditures
- Liaise with planning authorities and warranty providers (e.g., NHBC, Building Regulations)
- Supervise and mentor junior technical staff and engineers.
Skills & Qualifications
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil Engineering, Architecture, Construction management or related field
- Minimum 8 years of proven experience in technical management within real estate or construction
- Strong knowledge of construction methods, building regulations, and design standards
- Proficiency in the use of design softwares such as Staad.Pro, Revit, AutoCAD, and project management tools
- COREN registered is highly desirable.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Strong communication and stakeholder management abilities
- Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
Salary
N350,000 Gross monthly.
