Job Title: Technical Engineer
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Major Responsibilities & Duties
- Troubleshoots, repairs, maintenance, installs and performs testing activities on various computer equipment, peripherals, data communication and computer network systems.
- Ability to repair and install Printers and photocopiers of different models
- Assembles, installs, configures and test computer equipment or units of local area network requiring use of standard interface protocols.
- Consults with and assist manufacturer’s representatives in installation of new computer equipment; exercises total responsibility for routine installation or modification projects; assists other technicians or the director in repairing, installing and testing complex pieces of equipment or local area networks.
- Completes work orders such as installing equipment, connecting and moving devices or creates components of autonomous networks; installing disk drives and correcting definitions on data switches, protocol converters.
- Develops and maintains software/hardware inventory and tracking systems; develops inventory lists and orders, stocks and stores electronics components.
- Performs preventive and corrective maintenance for compute, data communication and peripheral equipment test and adjust to appropriate standards.
Qualifications and Requirements
- BSc / HND Computer Science or other related degrees
- 2 to 3 years’ experience in related role.
