Job Title: Tech Support / IT Staff (VI)

Job Summary

  • We are seeking a highly skilled and proactive Tech Support/IT Staff member to manage and maintain our IT systems.
  • The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in both hardware and software and will be responsible for installing and configuring software, setting up new employees’ laptops, and resolving hardware and software issues. Given our startup environment, the candidate must be independent, a multitasker, and a self-starter, always on the lookout for new technologies to improve our operations

Responsibilities

  • Technical Support: Provide first-line support for hardware and software issues, ensuring timely resolution to minimize downtime.
  • Software Installation: Install, configure, and update software on employees’ laptops, ensuring they have the necessary tools to perform their duties effectively.
  • Hardware Setup: Set up new employees’ laptops with all required software packages and configurations.
  • System Maintenance: Regularly maintain and update IT systems and infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance.
  • Troubleshooting: Diagnose and resolve technical hardware and software issues, escalating to external support when necessary.
  • Network Management: Assist in managing and maintaining the company’s network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls.
  • IT Documentation: Maintain accurate records of IT assets, configurations, and user guides.
  • Training: Provide training and support to employees on the use of hardware, software, and new technologies.
  • Innovation: Research and implement new technologies to improve efficiency, reduce costs, and support the company’s growth.
  • Security: Ensure all IT systems are secure and comply with industry standards and regulations.
  • Vendor Management: Liaise with external vendors for support and procurement of IT equipment and services.

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • Experience: Minimum of 2-4 years of experience in IT support or a related role.

Skills:

  • Proficiency in hardware troubleshooting and repair.
  • Expertise in software installation, configuration, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of network management and security.
  • Excellent problem-solving and multitasking abilities.
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work independently and proactively in a startup environment.
  • Knowledge of new and emerging technologies in the IT field.
  • Familiarity with various operating systems, including Windows, MacOS, and Linux
