Job Title: Surveyor

Location: Agadagba-Obon, Ondo

Job Summary

  • We are seeking an experienced Surveyor to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for conducting surveys, gathering data, and providing technical support to ensure the accurate placement of infrastructure, buildings, and other construction projects.

Key Responsibilities

  • Conduct Site Surveys: Conduct site surveys to gather data on topography, boundaries, and other physical features.
  • Set Out Works: Set out works for construction projects, ensuring accurate placement of buildings, infrastructure, and other features.
  • Data Collection and Analysis: Collect and analyze data from surveys, including measurements, angles, and other relevant information.
  • Prepare Survey Reports: Prepare survey reports, including drawings, maps, and other visual aids.
  • Provide Technical Support: Provide technical support to engineers, architects, and other stakeholders, ensuring that survey data is accurately incorporated into project designs.
  • Ensure Compliance: Ensure compliance with relevant laws, regulations, and industry standards.
  • Supervise Survey Teams: Supervise survey teams, providing guidance and direction on survey methods and procedures.
  • Maintain Survey Equipment: Maintain survey equipment, ensuring that it is in good working order and calibrated correctly.

Requirements

  • Qualifications: Bachelor’s Degree in Surveying, Geomatics, or a related field.
  • Experience: At least 5 years of experience in surveying, preferably in a construction or engineering environment.
  • Professional Certification: Registered Surveyor (RS) or equivalent professional certification.
  • Technical Skills: Proficient in survey software, including AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and other relevant programs.
  • Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with stakeholders at all levels.

Physical and Mental Demands:

  • Physical Demands: Ability to work in a fast-paced outdoor environment, with frequent travel to construction sites.
  • Mental Demands: Ability to work under pressure, with attention to detail and a high level of accuracy.
