Job Summary
- To be the business partner for Supply chain management team by delivering reliable management information analysis and support business development.
- Lead, motivate and develop the Management Accounting (Operations) function. Ensure all activities relating to operations support, financial planning and analysis, budgeting and reporting are properly planned, managed and controlled in accordance with local and corporate requirements.
- Provide supply chain business insights according to agreed timings and formats as well as ad hoc analysis. Understands and challenges results and forms assumptions going forward.
- Coordinates and controls the financial rolling forecast for Supply Chain and the S&OP-Supply.
- Ensures control of goods flow balance and conversion costs.
- Standard cost price calculations and review cost allocations.
- Working capital management – focused on Inventory.
- Capex Control (principal toolbox) and cost reduction programs including continuous improvement programs (e.g. WCOM, ACE)
- Assists in strategy development and translation to short- and medium-term targets.
Vacancy Description
Factory Inventory Management:
- Oversees the inventory management process from the ‘Make angle” ensuring inventories and wastages are properly controlled and recorded.
- Oversee physical inventory and cycle counting programs at all plants.
Product Costing (COGS):
- Review manufacturing costing and stock valuation method to ensure compliance in accordance with accounting policies.
- Review production overhead and variances to ensure accuracy of product costing. To review cost drivers, identify area for improvement and implement cost control.
Capex Management and Control:
- To ensure the capex spend are managed in accordance with the policies and procedures of the company.
- Accountable for overseeing the planning, budget management and reporting of capital expenditures.
- Engage and partner with relevant stakeholders in the delivery of robust business case to test viability and justify capex investments.
- Drive post evaluation of capex spend for projects ≥ € 3 million within 24monhts following capex completion through capex analyst with relevant stakeholders.
Budgetary and Management Reporting:
- Oversee the processing, validity and functionality of the Company’s financial budgets and setting up of relevant control mechanism to ensure that financial results are consistent within the approved budgets/ targets.
- Provide direction on the measurement and reporting of the financial results for internal and external purpose on time in full that enable management to undertake business measures to achieve the desired results
Management Information Centre and Exchange:
- Ensure Operations Management Accounting team acts as a management information centre and support other departments’ needs on management information.
- Adapt existing or introduce best financial business practices to react to changes in business environment.
- Operate and effectively set the direction for the Operations Management Accounting team to actively participate in bilateral and multilateral exchanges of information, data and opinion with Operations departments in order to contribute to the overall effective performance of the Company.
Monthly business review (MBR) cycle & Operational KPI monitoring
- Prepare and Present Make results at Monthly business review (MBR) cycle with timely and insightful information.
Effective Business Partnering
- Partners the Make Director on production volume growth, cost delivery within target, operating efficiency (OEE), variance and waste reduction
- Provide and support Make managers with relevant and insightful information to enable production efficiency with respect to material utilization efficiency and Conversion cost control.
Continuous Improvement:
- Collaborates with continuous improvement team to drive savings from investment plans, WCOM and Procurement projects. Oversees and Verify savings initiatives from start to reporting.
Audit Compliance:
- Ensure audit compliance for various audits (ICT, External and Corporate audit)
Requirements
What we ask:
- Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree / HND in Accounting
- ACA/ACCA/MIA/CIMA
- At least 10 years working experience on senior role preferably with FMCG.
- Credible supply chain and business awareness with strong understanding of business processes and operations.
- Knowledge of SAP
- Knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint)
- Energetic with excellent interpersonal and leadership skills, able to influence people of all levels.
- Good communication/ interpersonal skills and a team player.
- Flexibility in thinking and pragmatic problem-solving skills.
- Ability to review and identify issues and opportunities in business processes.
- Able to cope under continuous pressure and to deliver upon tight deadlines.
