Job Title: Subject Teacher

Location: Ganye, Adamawa
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • We seek experienced, dedicated, and passionate educators to join our teaching staff in the following subject areas: English Language, Physics, Christian Religious Studies (C.R.S), Mathematics, Basic Science and Technology, and Computer Studies.
  • The ideal candidates will demonstrate strong subject knowledge, excellent classroom management, and the ability to inspire students to achieve academic excellence while upholding the school’s values and ethos.

Responsibilities

  • Prepare and deliver engaging lessons in line with the school’s curriculum and academic standards.
  • Develop lesson plans, teaching materials, and assessment tools to evaluate student performance.
  • Foster a positive, inclusive, and supportive learning environment.
  • Provide timely feedback to students and parents on academic progress.
  • Incorporate innovative teaching methods, including ICT tools, to enhance learning outcomes.
  • Maintain accurate student records and participate in departmental meetings and school events.
  • Encourage critical thinking, problem-solving skills, and moral values in students.
  • Support the school’s mission and vision in all teaching and extracurricular activities.

Requirements
Education:

  • For English Language & C.R.S: BA (Ed) or BA with PGDE (Post Graduate Diploma in Education) will be an added advantage, or BA with a minimum of 5 years of teaching experience.
  • For Physics, Mathematics, Basic Science & Technology, and Computer Studies: B.Sc or B.Sc (Ed) in the relevant field.

Experience:

  • Minimum: 5 years of relevant teaching experience.
  • Preferred: 10–15 years of proven excellence in classroom instruction.

Skills:

  • Excellent command of the subject area and ability to simplify complex concepts.
  • Strong communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills.
  • Effective classroom management and organizational abilities.
  • Proficiency in using ICT and digital teaching tools.
  • Ability to inspire, mentor, and motivate students toward excellence.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and adaptability to different learning needs.
