Job Title: Strategy and NPD Manager

Job Summary

  • This is an exciting opportunity to help drive business growth through a combination of data-driven analysis, problem-solving, consumer, and customer understanding.
  • Working closely with the Head of Strategy, the candidate will help us take data-driven decisions that support our success based on financial, customer and market analysis and research.

Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement high quality and data-driven strategic initiatives to drive business growth, increase market share, and enhance profitability.
  • Collaborate with senior leadership to drive strategic vision and ensure effective implementation of key business priorities across the organization.
  • Create and execute strategic plans on product development, business development, and go to-market strategies.
  • Monitor industry trends, competitor activities, and regulatory changes to anticipate potential impacts on the business and develop proactive strategies.
  • Conduct thorough market research, competitive analysis, and consumer insights to identify emerging trends, market opportunities, and potential risks.
  • Identify and assess potential partnerships, mergers, acquisitions, and other strategic alliances to support business objectives.
  • Provide thought leadership and contribute to the development of long-term strategic plans and goals.
  • Perform financial modelling and analysis to evaluate investment opportunities, pricing strategies, and cost optimization initiatives.
  • Mentor and guide junior team members, fostering a culture of continuous learning and professional development.

Requirements

  • MSc. or Master of Business Administration (MBA) degree from a recognized institution.
  • 6-8 years of experience in strategy or business development /intelligence unit of a Fast-Moving Consumer Goods (FMCG)/ Retail/ Manufacturing business OR experience as a consultant servicing the FMCG industry.
  • Proven track record of driving business growth and contributing to the bottom line.
  • Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to motivate and guide a team of strategists. Highly effective in cross-functional and stakeholder management.
  • Experience in implementation of innovation process from concept development to launch and contributing to long-term innovation pipeline.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical ability to identify key business issues, evaluate options, and provide actionable solutions to accelerate growth.
  • Strong business acumen and understanding of the FMCG industry dynamics, market trends, and consumer behavior.
