Job Title: Specialist, Diesel Operations & Logistics

Job Purpose

  • Assist the Manager, Diesel Operations & Logistics in ensuring effective and efficient diesel refueling and generating timely diesel supply reports. 

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Coordinate daily and ongoing logistics related to diesel loading per assigned region(s). 
  • Maintain contact with haulage vendors and/ or Site-Build Contractors (SBCs) to ensure diesel delivery is carried out and achieved on time as per allocation file. 
  • Send list of trucks scheduled for loading to depots on time. 
  • Accurately analyze and monitor monthly SBC allocation, ensuring loading is in accordance with the latest review/ file. 
  • Build and update the tracker for analyzing, monitoring and maintaining daily stock. 
  • Deliver monthly stock costing and management reports as required. 
  • Send Requests for Quotation (RFQs) to vendors for end-to-end/ non-truckable diesel supplies. 
  • Batch waybills to purchase orders (POs) for accurate invoicing. 
  • Ensure zero stock loss. 
  • Ensure zero outstanding invoices within 24 hours of receipt. 
  • Achieve 100% data integrity for all reports. 
  • Collate and report daily depot prices across regions. 
  • Track, rate and report diesel haulage vendors’ performance for the attention of the Manager, Diesel Operations & Logistics. 
  • Collate and report major field incidences per supply cycle. 
  • Ensure all stand-by truck requests from assigned regions are actioned and made available within stipulated Service Level Agreements (SLAs). 
  • Perform other tasks and duties as assigned by the Manager, Diesel Operations & Logistics. 

Qualifications & Experience Required

  • Bachelor’s Degree in any relevant discipline.
  • Relevant advanced Master’s or professional certification will be an asset. 
  • +5-7 years’ experience in supply chain roles involving sourcing, negotiations, vendor management, expediting deliveries and demand planning.
