Job Title: Solar Engineer

Job Overview

  • We are seeking a skilled and motivated Solar Engineer to design, develop, and implement solar energy systems. 
  • The ideal candidate will have expertise in photovoltaic (PV) systems, energy storage solutions, and solar power infrastructure. 
  • You will be responsible for site assessments, system design, performance analysis, and ensuring compliance with industry regulations.

Key Responsibilities

  • Design and develop solar power systems, including PV arrays, inverters, and energy storage solutions.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, site assessments, and energy production estimates.
  • Prepare technical drawings, schematics, and system layouts using CAD software.
  • Oversee installation, testing, and commissioning of solar energy projects.
  • Ensure compliance with local regulations, industry standards, and safety protocols.
  • Perform system performance analysis and troubleshoot operational issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers, electricians, and other stakeholders.
  • Provide technical support for sales teams and client consultations.
  • Stay up to date with advancements in solar technology and energy policies.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Energy, or a related field.
  • 4 – 10 years proven experience in solar PV system design and implementation.
  • Proficiency in design software such as AutoCAD, PVsyst, or Helioscope.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical systems, energy storage, and grid integration.
  • Familiarity with national and international solar energy standards and codes.
  • Ability to conduct fieldwork and travel to project sites as needed.
  • Excellent problem-solving and project management skills.
  • Strong communication and teamwork abilities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification (e.g., NABCEP, LEED, or equivalent).
  • Experience with hybrid solar systems, microgrids, or solar farms.
  • Knowledge of financial modeling and cost-benefit analysis for solar projects.
