Job Title: SHE Specialist
Location: Lagos
Responsibilities
- Develop and implement safety policies and procedures to ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations.
- Conduct regular safety inspections and audits to identify potential hazards and recommend corrective actions.
- Provide training and education to employees on safety protocols, emergency response procedures, and proper use of personal protective equipment.
- Investigate accidents, incidents, and near-misses to determine root causes and develop strategies for prevention.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop and maintain emergency response plans and business continuity strategies.
- Monitor and analyze safety data and trends to identify areas for improvement and develop strategies to reduce workplace injuries and illnesses.
- Coordinate and participate in safety committee meetings to address safety concerns and promote a culture of safety throughout the organization.
- Conduct risk assessments and develop risk mitigation strategies for hazardous tasks and processes.
- Stay updated on industry best practices, regulatory changes, and emerging safety technologies to ensure continuous improvement in safety programs.
- Serve as a liaison with regulatory agencies and external stakeholders to ensure compliance and promote a positive.
Requirement
- Power industry/Meter background, SHE certification required.
