MAIN ROLE OF THE POST

Under the responsibility of the SGBV& HIV Program Coordinator, theā€™Agent of Health field in charge of GBV& HIV (GVB&HIV Field Officer) will have as its main role to facilitate the execution and implementation of the physical rehabilitation activities of victims of gender-based and gender-based violence in order to respond to the indicators set out in this programme as well asā€™ ensure a visible and sustainable impact in the beneficiary community reflecting a socio-economic transformation of the most vulnerable.

MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Identification of survivors of cases of Fistulae, Cystocele and Prolapse post-violence based on Gender and Sexist ;
  • Facilitate the referencing of identified cases and their accompaniment for medical, psychosocial care and socio-economic reintegration ;
  • Public awareness on gender inclusion and the fight against Gender and Sexist Violence ;
  • Ensure the functioning of GBV&HIV clubs set up by World Relief
  • Facilitate training for beneficiaries in the field of health/GBV&HIV ;
  • Advocate for survivors of gender-based violence in partnership with other actors in the field ofā€™ to ensure that Survivors of gender-based sexual violence are in the process of good living conditions (UNICEF, local and international NGOs, government) ;
  • Participate in health and protection cluster meetings at the territorial level;
  • Ensure collaboration between World Relief and health structures in the Nyiragongo territory;
  • Ensure community mobilization in the area of ā€‹ā€‹protection and gender inclusion;
  • Support survivors in the trauma healing process and overcoming stress;
  • Ensure the integration of the GBV&HIV program in the Mugunga CEZs so that the churches take ownership of this program;
  • Support your supervisor with concrete and creative proposals for the success of this GVB&HIV program;
  • Collect and share with program coordination the stories or testimonials of success that result from the activities carried out (quality photos to support.)
  • Maintain the SGBV&HIV program database;
  • Carry out other tasks requested by the hierarchy in the complex area of ā€‹ā€‹health and or capacity building of local churches;
  • QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED
  • Hold at least an A1 diploma in the field of health,
  • Have at least 3 years of experience working with international NGOs in the health field, particularly in gender inclusion and the fight against sexual violence against women and girls;
  • Have experience in identifying cases of fistula, prolapse and Cystocele;
  • Have general knowledge about the approach of working with churches under the approach of CEZ.
  • Knowledge of spoken and written French is compulsory for good reporting ;
  • Knowledge of local languages, especially Kiswahili as well as spoken and written English is an asset ;
  • Have the qualities of a good community facilitator and mobilizer;
  • Master the handling of information tools, particularly MS Word, Excel and PowerPoint applications;
  • Be the holder of an ONEM card (for the unemployed);
  • OTHER REQUIREMENTS
  • Be a Christian involved in a local church;
  • Be able to work under pressure even with less supervision,
  • Being able to work in a team,
  • Having a driving license and being able to drive motorcycles of all brands is a major condition;
