Job Description

  • As a Service Outside Sales Representative, you will be fully responsible for executing all sales initiatives aimed at maximizing service opportunities within the installed base of assigned strategic accounts, as well as country/BU-targeted accounts.
  • The ideal candidate will be accountable for promoting and selling a comprehensive range of technical services—including start-up, maintenance, testing, retrofitting, upgrades, and digital solutions—across electrical equipment from various major manufacturers installed at customer sites.
  • This position is based in Port Harcourt, Nigeria.

Who will you report to?

  • The position reports directly to the Service Director for West Africa and collaborates closely with the Services Sales Team, Customers,   Services Operational Marketing, Inside Services Sales, BU/Country Account Managers, Business Developers, and the Services Bureau.

Responsibilities
What will you do?

  • Develop and maintain account profiles, execute sales plans, and identify new business opportunities with targeted customers.
  • Manage customer satisfaction by overseeing all ongoing activities, including orders, deliveries, and service execution.
  • Prepare accurate sales quotations and proposals in collaboration with the quotation team, ensuring alignment with expected margins.
  • Utilize Salesforce (BFO) for sales funnel management, account planning, and timely submission of monthly forecasts and summaries.
  • Collaborate closely with Inside Service Sales Representatives, BU Account Managers, and Field Services Marketing to maximize business opportunities and provide feedback on offers.
  • Educate customers on Schneider Electric’s full range of products and services, with emphasis on recurring and digital offers; support marketing efforts, including trade shows and seminars.

Requirements

  • What qualifications will make you successful for this role?
    • A Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical / Electronic Engineering or a related field is an added advantage.
    • A minimum of 5 years of technical sales experience in LV, MV switchgear, UPS, PLC, and Drives will be required.
  • What skills and capabilities will make you successful?
    • The successful candidate will be required to have engineering qualifications.
    • Ability to build a sustainable and reliable relationship with the customer.
    • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
    • Ability to work under pressure.
