Job Title: Senior Manager – Health, Safety, Security and Environment

Job Function
- To oversee and implement a comprehensive Health, Safety, Security and Environment strategies to ensure adherence to industry standards, safeguarding employees, goods, and the environment across transportation and warehouse operations.
Key Accountabilities
- Oversee and Coordinate the safety and health governance processes.
- Ensure the establishment of a safe work environment to protect the health of staff and visitors.
- Management and handling of hazardous elements like chemical, physical, radiological, and biological in the workplace.
- Develop, implement and monitor a health and safety policy, programs and plans.
- Prepare budget proposals for the operation of health and safety measures, programs and other requirements.
- Create and implement strategies for a greener workplace.
- Establish a database tracking system designed to oversee the execution of corrective measures, encompassing audits, HSE cases, incidents, drills, potential incidents, and HSE meetings.
- Ensure timely execution of audit plans, both internal and external, with the closure of corrective action plans (RAPs) from external audits within stipulated timelines.
- Ensure compliance with all health, safety and security regulations and policies.
- Ensure that adequate and effective risk assessments are undertaken and regularly reviewed.
Qualifications
- A First degree from a recognized institution or a relevant postgraduate business qualification (MBA or equivalent tertiary qualification).
- ISO 9001:2015 Lead Auditor Certificate.
- NEBOSH
- IOSH
- OHSAS 18001.
Skills and Experience:
- Up to 10 years relevant experience in a similar environment with at least 8 years business leadership or specialist experience.
- Demonstrable managerial skills with good understanding of cross functional relationships.
- Leadership and Teamwork skills.
- Organizational and time management skills.
