It was formed after NATCOM Development and Investment Limited (NatCom) acquired the assets of the defunct NITEL.NTEL aims to redefine the Nigerian telecommunications landscape by offering high-speed internet access and clear voice over LTE. NTEL aims to deliver its services across the largest possible network coverage in Nigeria.

We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Security Manager, South

Location: Lagos
Employment Type: Full-time

Job Description

  • Coordinate daily security operations across all Southern sites—including BTS, switch stations, warehouses, and office

  • Conduct site risk assessments, vulnerability studies, and threat analysis regularly
  • Lead investigations into theft, vandalism, sabotage, or any security breaches
  • Ensure timely incident reporting, documentation, and escalation to Head Office
  • Manage contracts and performance of third-party security vendors and guards
  • Verify proper staffing, training, and conduct of guards deployed at all locations
  • Track SLA compliance, patrol logs, and surveillance system functionality
  • Coordinate and implement emergency response drills and safety protocols across Southern sites
  • Respond swiftly to security alerts or civil disruptions affecting operations
  • Collaborate with law enforcement, local authorities, and internal stakeholders as needed
  • Prepare weekly/monthly reports on security status, risks, incidents, and resolutions
  • Communicate region-specific security developments to Head of Security
  • Advise local site heads and facility managers on preventative measures
  • Ensure compliance with national security laws, environmental health standards, and telecom-specific regulations
  • Maintain site documentation for audits, inspections, and licensing
  • Support legal and regulatory liaison within the Southern jurisdictions

Education / Certification

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Criminology, Security Studies, Risk Management, or related discipline
  • Security certifications preferred: CPP, PSP, or industrial security qualifications

Experience:

  • 7+ years in security management, with at least 3 years in regional or field operations
  • Experience securing telecom sites, power systems, or critical infrastructure in Southern Nigeria
  • Background in military, police, or paramilitary service is a plus
  • Experience handling sensitive and confidential information with a high degree of integrity
  • Previous experience in incident reporting, documentation, and post-incident analysis

Skills & Competencies:

  • Strong leadership, supervision, and team management skills
  • Excellent knowledge of regional security terrain and community dynamics
  • Ability to manage multiple locations and shifting priorities under pressure
  • Technical familiarity with CCTV, access control, alarms, and surveillance equipment
  • Good communication, reporting, and problem-solving abilities
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office and basic security management software.
