We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sectional Head (Cement Mill) – Production Department

Location: Okpella, Edo
Job type: Full Time – Onsite

Job Objective

  • Lead and manage the Cement Mill operations to optimize production efficiency and quality of cement output.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Oversee the entire production process in the Cement Mill to ensure adherence to quality standards and production targets.
  • Monitor and control the mill’s operational parameters for optimal performance.
  • Ensure the maintenance of equipment and machinery to prevent breakdowns and reduce downtime.
  • Manage the kiln feed quality and ensure compliance with specifications.
  • Coordinate with the quality control team to ensure all products meet company and regulatory standards.
  • Lead and train production staff on best practices and safety procedures.
  • Identify areas for process improvement and implement solutions to enhance production efficiency.
  • Prepare reports on production performance and submit to management for review.
  • Facilitate effective communication between departments to ensure smooth operations.

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Chemical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related field.
  • Relevant postgraduate qualifications or certifications will be an advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of ten years (10) years of experience in cement production, with at least three years in a supervisory role.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Strong understanding of cement production processes and operation of cement mills.
  • Excellent leadership and team management abilities.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Proficient in production management software and tools.
  • Commitment to safety and environmental standards.
  • Ability to work well under pressure and make informed decisions swiftly.
