We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Sectional Head (Cement Mill) – Instrumentation Department

Location: Okpella, Edo
Employment Type: Full Time

Job Objective

  • Oversee the instrumentation systems and processes in the Cement Mill to ensure optimal functionality and efficiency.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Ensure the effective management and maintenance of instrumentation and control systems in the Cement Mill.
  • Coordinate the calibration and validation of instruments to ensure compliance with quality standards.
  • Lead troubleshooting efforts during equipment malfunctions and provide solutions to instrumentation issues.
  • Collaborate with other departments to optimize production processes, enhancing overall efficiency.
  • Implement best practices for instrumentation maintenance and operations.
  • Prepare and maintain documentation for instrumentation systems and ensure it is up to date.
  • Monitor process parameters to ensure compliance with production quality standards.
  • Ensure adherence to safety protocols and regulations in all instrumentation operations.
  • Train and mentor junior staff on instrumentation best practices and safety measures.

Requirements
Educational Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
  • Professional certifications in automation or instrumentation will be an added advantage.

Work Experience:

  • Minimum of eight years (8) years relevant work experience in instrumentation, preferably in the cement or manufacturing industry.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Extensive knowledge of instrumentation systems and their applications in cement production.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
  • Proficient in the use of various instrumentation software and tools.
  • Strong leadership and supervisory capabilities.
  • Attention to detail with a focus on quality control.
