Job Title: School Receptionist
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers
Employment Type: Full-time
Job Summary
- The School Receptionist serves as the first point of contact for students, parents, staff, and visitors.
- This role requires a welcoming and professional demeanor, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage administrative duties efficiently.
- The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth daily operation of the school’s front desk and contribute to a positive school environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Greet and assist students, parents, staff, and visitors in a courteous and professional manner
- Answer and direct incoming calls, take messages, and respond to general inquiries
- Maintain accurate records of student attendance and late arrivals
- Handle incoming and outgoing mail and deliveries
- Maintain reception area and ensure it is clean, organized, and welcoming
- Assist with administrative tasks such as filing, photocopying, data entry, and report preparation
- Schedule appointments and manage calendars for school leadership (as needed)
- Handle confidential information with discretion
- Support school staff with various clerical tasks during peak periods
- Enforce visitor sign-in procedures and maintain visitor logs for security purposes.
Requirements and Qualifications
- Minimum of SSCE/WAEC; OND or equivalent qualification in Administration, Secretarial Studies, or related field is preferred
- Proven experience in a receptionist or administrative role, preferably in a school environment
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal and customer service skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook) and office equipment (printer, scanner, etc.)
- Ability to multitask and work in a busy environment
- High level of professionalism and confidentiality
- Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Working Hours:
- Monday – Friday, 8:00AM – 4:00 PM.
Salary
N60,000 – N80,000 Monthly.
