Job Title: Risk Information & Communication Manager
Location: Lagos, Nigeria
About the Job
- Responsible for the management of risk-related information and communications within the organisation.
- Develop risk management strategies, ensure compliance with relevant regulations, and effectively communicate risk-related information to stakeholders.
- Ensure that the organisation’s information and communication systems are secure and compliant, while also fostering an embedded culture of risk awareness and proactive management
Primary Responsibilities
Risk Identification and Assessment:
- Identify potential risks
- Conduct regular risk assessments and reviews to evaluate the effectiveness of risk management strategies.
Risk Management:
- Develop and implement risk management policies and protocols.
- Monitor and manage the risk portfolio, ensuring timely mitigation of identified risks.
Communication:
- Prepare and present risk reports to senior management and other stakeholders.
- Ensure clear and effective communication of risk-related information across the organisation.
Governance, Risk & Compliance:
- Ensure compliance with industry regulations and standards.
- Stay informed about regulatory changes and adjust your risk management strategies accordingly.
- Assist in the administration of GRC software and promote active engagement within the Risk Communities.
Training and Awareness:
- Conduct training sessions to raise awareness about risk management practices.
- Provide expert advice on risk management matters to various departments.
Environmental, Social & Governance:
- Support the ESG Risk Manager in developing and implementing ESG strategies and roadmaps.
Data Analysis:
- Coordinate and implement data governance protocols for the Risk Management Group
- Leverage technological tools to carry out data analytics, develop insights, and support risk management strategies.
Requirements
Academic Qualification(s):
- Bachelor’s Degree in Risk Management, Information Technology, Communications, or a related field.
Professional Qualification(s):
- ISO31000, CRISC, and CISA are highly desirable and an added advantage.
Experience (Number of relevant years):
- 4 – 7 years relevant experience.
- Experience in risk management is an advantage, preferably within the FINTECH and banking ecosystem
Certifications:
- Professional certifications in risk management or related fields are preferred.
- Certifications in ISO31000, CRISC, and CISA are highly desirable and an added advantage.
Technical Skills:
- Proficiency in risk assessment tools and software.
- Proficiency in data analysis software/tools (e.g., SQL, Excel, etc.).
- Experience with data visualisation tools (e.g., Power BI, etc.).
- Strong statistical and analytical skills.
