Job Title: Rig Manager
Location: Port Harcourt, Rivers

Job Description
- Lead and manage day-to-day rig activities to ensure adherence to the approved drilling program.
- Monitor rig performance, optimize operational parameters, and ensure minimal downtime.
- Supervise all rig personnel including Tool pushers, Drillers, Electricians, and Mechanics.
- Conduct daily toolbox meetings and ensure adherence to shift handover procedures.
- Enforce strict compliance with company and regulatory HSE policies.
- Lead incident investigations and implement corrective/preventive measures.
- Oversee the preventive maintenance of rig equipment to avoid unscheduled breakdowns.
- Maintain accurate records of drilling operations, equipment usage, crew timesheets, and incident reports
- Monitor rig expenditures and ensure operations remain within budget.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree or equivalent in Engineering or a related field
- Minimum of 15 years’ experience in drilling operations, with at least 3 years in a supervisory/managerial role.
- Valid IWCF or IADC Well Control Certificate (Supervisor level).
- Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills
- Proficient in rig operations software and reporting tools.
