Job Description
- As part of our continued growth, we are looking for reliable and efficient Cashiers to join our retail store teams and help provide excellent customer service while maintaining accurate sales records.
- The Cashier will be responsible for processing customer transactions accurately and efficiently, handling cash and POS terminals, and ensuring a clean and organized checkout area. A background in accounting or finance is considered a strong advantage.
Key Responsibilities
- Handle sales transactions using POS and manual registers
- Collect payments (cash, card, transfer) and issue accurate receipts
- Reconcile cash at the end of each shift
- Maintain clean and orderly checkout counters
- Assist with customer inquiries and resolve complaints professionally
- Monitor stock levels at checkout and report shortages
- Ensure proper documentation of daily sales
- Work closely with inventory and store staff to support smooth operations
Educational Qualifications
- Candidates should possess an SSCE / OND / NCE
- Background in Accounting, Finance, or Business is an added advantage
- Prior cashier experience in a retail or supermarket setting is preferred
Experience:
- Minimum of 2year experience in a cashier or customer-facing retail role
- Familiarity with modern POS systems and reconciliation is a plus
Requirements:
- Strong numeracy and accuracy skills
- Basic proficiency in Microsoft Excel and POS systems
- Good communication and customer service skills
- High level of integrity and honesty
- Ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
Other Requirements:
- Must reside within or close to Mabushi (Kado, Gishiri, Jahi, Gwarimpa, Wuse 2).
- Must be punctual, trustworthy, and customer-focused
- Must be available for immediate employment.
Remuneration
N80,000 – N90,000 / Month.
