Job Summary

  • We’re seeking a skilled Restaurant Finance Accountant to manage financial accounting, budgeting, and forecasting for our restaurant operations.
  • The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting, analyzing financial performance, and providing insights to support business decisions.

Key Responsibilities
Financial Accounting:

  • Prepare and review financial statements, including balance sheets, income statements, and cash flow statements.
  • Ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
  • Maintain and reconcile general ledger accounts, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.

Budgeting and Forecasting:

  • Develop and manage annual budgets and forecasts for restaurant operations.
  • Analyze financial performance and provide insights to support business decisions.
  • Identify areas for cost savings and implement initiatives to improve profitability.

Financial Analysis:

  • Analyze financial data to identify trends, opportunities, and challenges.
  • Provide financial insights to support menu engineering, pricing, and marketing initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain financial models to forecast revenue and expenses.

Compliance and Risk Management:

  • Ensure compliance with accounting standards, regulatory requirements, and company policies.
  • Identify and mitigate financial risks, including fraud, waste, and abuse.

Team Collaboration:

  • Work closely with restaurant management, operations, and other finance team members to support business objectives.
  • Provide training and guidance to restaurant staff on financial policies and procedures.

Requirements
Education:

  • Candidates should possess a Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field.

Experience:

  • Minimum of 3 -5 years of experience in financial accounting, preferably in the restaurant or hospitality industry.

Skills:

  • Strong knowledge of accounting principlesand financial reporting.
  • Proficient in financial software, including accounting systems and spreadsheet applications.
  • Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
