Youngstars Foundation is one of Africa’s unique, life-changing youth organization operating in Abuja, Nigeria. From a weekly youth club in a local barber shop in 1995, Youngstars Foundation is growing to emerge as one of the lead youth non-profit that is building young people and strengthening youth organizations involved in development programs in Africa. Youngstars Foundation is now in Special Consultative Status with the Economic and Social Council (ECOSOC) of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UNDESA), and is registered with CAC Nigeria as Youngstars Development Initiative (CAC/IT/NO 21517) and in Ghana as Youngstars Development Initiative (G.21, 431).

Job Description

  • Researches and identifies new government, corporate, foundation and private funding prospects to match organization priorities;
  • Generates high-quality proposals, narratives, applications and supporting documents in response to solicitations consistent with all policies and procedures of organisation, and the requirements and guidelines of the funding agencies;
  • Generate atleast 4 proposals monthly.
  • Generates revenues for the organization programs through timely submission of well-researched, well written and well-documented grant proposals;
  • Maintains primary responsibility for grant schedules and tracking grants;
  • Serves as a liaison to all funding agencies and organizations;
  • Works with appropriate staffs to research, develop, write and submit letters of inquiry, concept papers and grant proposals;
  • Coordinates and follows-up on the progress of submitted proposals;
  • Develops and maintains a master file on pending grants and contracts;
  • Remains up-to-date on current issues relative to grant proposals;
  • Meets regularly with the ED, Head of programs or Departments and staffs to discuss current and new funding needs and opportunities;
  • Inform appropriate staff and answer questions regarding allowability of proposed expenditures related to all specific grants;
  • Inform supervisor on the progress of all grants and issues that may arise with each grant.
  • Attend meetings and fundraising events on behalf of the organization.
  • Develop resource mobilization presentation, proposals, briefing notes.
  • Assist the team in finalization of donor agreements and contracts.
