Position Overview:
- We are seeking a passionate and dedicated Research Volunteer to join our team.
- The Research Volunteer will support our efforts by conducting research on various topics related to peacebuilding, school violence prevention, and child safeguarding.
- This role is crucial in helping us develop evidence-based programs and advocate for effective policies.
Commitment:
- Minimum of 15 hours per week
Duration:
- 6 months (with possibility of extension)
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct literature reviews and compile research findings on topics related to peacebuilding, school violence, and child safeguarding.
- Analyze data and summarize key insights to inform program development and advocacy efforts.
- Assist in the development of research reports, policy briefs, and other publications.
- Support the team in identifying and evaluating best practices and innovative approaches in peacebuilding and violence prevention.
- Collaborate with team members to design and implement research projects.
- Maintain accurate records of research activities and ensure data integrity.
Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in or recently graduated from a degree program in social sciences, international relations, peace and conflict studies, education, or a related field.
- Strong research and analytical skills, with the ability to synthesize information from multiple sources.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Detail-oriented and highly organized.
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
- Experience with qualitative and/or quantitative research methods is a plus.
- Passion for peacebuilding, child protection, and social justice.
