Job Summary
- A Regional Manager is responsible for overseeing and managing sales and operations across a designated geographic region.
- The role involves ensuring the company’s products are effectively distributed, displayed, and sold in retail outlets while also maintaining strong relationships with retain partners.
Job Responsibilities
- Develop & implement sales strategies to achieve regional sales goals.
- Monitor sales performance and take corrective actions to meet or exceed sales objectives.
- Analyze sales data and market trends to identify pain points, take corrective measures to identity and augment growth opportunities.
- Lead, motivate, and manage a team of sales representatives & managers.
- Conduct regular performance reviews and provide constructive feedback.
- Provide training and development opportunities to enhance team performance.
- Stay informed about market trends, competitive products and activities and new product development.
- Provide insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Adjust strategies based on market dynamics and competitive activities.
- Ensure high levels of customer satisfaction through effective relationship management.
- Address and resolve customer complaints and issues promptly and ensure the same is documented for evaluation and further enhancement of customer satisfaction levels.
- Implement customer feedback to improve service quality.
- Coordinate with supply chain teams to ensure timely product availability and distribution.
- Monitor inventory levels and manage stock replenishment.
- Timely preparation & submission of regular reports on regional performance
- Effective communication between the regional team and head office.
Job Requirements
- MBA / HND in Sales & Marketing
- A minimum of 10 to 12 years of experience in sales and management within the retail & FMCG industry. An exposure to modern trade would be an added advantage.
- Proven ability to lead and motivate a team to achieve the sales and company objectives
- Strong analytical and problem solving skills to analyze sales data and market trends
- Strong verbal & written communication skills
- Excellent negotiation and relationship-building skills with retail partners
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and priorities effectively
- Proficiency in MS office and exposure to CRM/Sales software.
