Job Summary
- The Reconciliation Analyst will be responsible for ensuring the accurate and timely settlement of financial transactions, maintaining alignment between collections accounts and settlement schedules.
- This role is critical in safeguarding financial integrity and operational efficiency by proactively identifying discrepancies, reconciling accounts, and ensuring compliance with internal and external regulatory standards.
Key Responsibilities
- Conduct daily reconciliation of all collections accounts, ensuring all balances are accurate and aligned.
- Validate successful transactions on payment gateways, escalating unresolved discrepancies as needed.
- Review and verify settlement postings from third-party processors, ensuring accuracy and adherence to agreed financial terms.
- Monitor and investigate any suspicious transaction amounts or unusual patterns, escalating findings appropriately.
- Oversee chargeback processes, ensuring timely response from merchants and proper reconciliation of chargeback debits.
Requirements
- Maximum age of 27 years.
- Minimum of B.Sc. (Second Class Lower) in Accounting, Finance, or related discipline.
- At least 2 years of experience in reconciliation/settlement within a bank or fintech environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, SQL, and financial reporting tools.
- Solid understanding of payment processing, settlements, and chargeback management.
- Strong problem-solving ability with a proactive approach to financial discrepancies.
