Job Title: Quantity Surveyor (Manager)

Job Summary

  • The Quantity Surveyor Manager will oversee all aspects of cost management, contract administration, and procurement for the company downstream oil and gas projects. 
  • This role requires a seasoned professional with extensive experience in quantity surveying within the petroleum industry, ensuring that all projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the highest quality standards.

Job Responsibilities

  • Develop and manage project budgets, perform cost forecasting, and ensure cost control throughout project lifecycles.
  • Prepare, review, and negotiate contracts with suppliers, contractors, and subcontractors, ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations.
  • Lead the procurement process for materials and services, ensuring timely delivery and cost effectiveness.
  • Conduct feasibility studies, risk assessments, and value engineering to optimize project outcomes.
  • Work closely with project managers, engineers, and other stakeholders to align project objectives and resolve any issues that may arise.
  • Prepare detailed reports on project progress, cost analysis, and financial performance for senior management.
  • Ensure all projects comply with local and international regulations, including health, safety, and environmental standards.

Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Quantity Surveying, Civil Engineering, or a related field. A Master’s degree or professional certifications (e.g., MRICS, NIQS) are advantageous.
  • Minimum of 7 years of experience in quantity surveying, with at least 5 years in a managerial role within the oil and gas industry.
  • Strong analytical skills, proficiency in cost estimation software, excellent negotiation abilities, and a deep understanding of contract law and construction methodologies.
