Job Title: Quality Inspector
Location: Lagos, Nigeria

Reports to: Head of Quality
Role Description
- The Quality Inspector reports to the Quality Manager through the Quality Supervisor and is responsible for the overall operations of the aircraft maintenance inspection activities.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Ensuring that all aircraft maintenance, continuous inspections, quality control and monitoring are in conformity with Standard and Recommended Practices, Procedure and in compliance with laid down regulations and that the proper inspections records, reports, and forms used are properly executed prior to approving the aircraft for return to service
- Assisting, supervising, and directing all maintenance inspections on aircraft under Air Peace Ltd AOC
- Contributing to developing standard operating procedures as it relates to aircraft maintenance activities and inspections
- Aircraft inspection during routine maintenance and entering defects found in non-routine cards
- Ascertaining that all inspections are properly performed on all completed work before it is approved for return to service and that the inspections and maintenance records, reports and forms required for such release are properly executed
- Ensuring that all technical data and publications are current
- Providing for continuity of inspection responsibility assuring completion of required inspections when personnel shift or reassignment occur
- Reporting of defects and non-airworthy conditions of aircraft and components, during routine inspection or spot checks
- Ensuring the proper execution of the NCAA approved major repair and major modification when require and that any requested maintenance releases or approval for return to services are completed
- Ensuring that rejected and unserviceable parts are handled in such a way as to prevent their reuse as serviceable parts
- Maintaining proper records of all maintenance inspections activities
- Ensuring NDT inspections and other specified work are in accordance with approved methods
- Makes periodic check on inspection tools and calibration of precision equipment and review records to ensure that established periods are not exceeded
- Monitoring the roster of all certifying staff members, including the scope of their authorization and work ethics
- Technical stores periodic inspections
- Inspecting all work that requires the qualification of Aviation Maintenance Technician such as airframe structures airframe electric wiring and weight and balance
- Regular meeting with the Quality Supervisor – Technical and the Head of Maintenance for review of airworthiness status of company aircraft/components
- Performs routine check of parts for shelf-life expired items to be removed for necessary action
- Ensures adequacy and correctness of entries in the technical log as well as the airworthiness release
- Certificate of Maintenance Review package review and C of A renewal
- Lease/Return aircraft bridge check monitoring
- Aircraft survey
- Other duties assigned by the Quality Supervisor – Technical.
