Job Title: Pump Operator
Location: Sabon Wuse, Niger

Job Summary
- Responsible for operating and maintaining water pumps during emergency and non-emergency operations to ensure an uninterrupted water supply for firefighting activities.
Responsibilities
- Operate and monitor water pumps and related equipment during firefighting operations.
- Ensure optimal water pressure and flow rates to support fire suppression efforts.
- Inspect, maintain and repair water pumps, hoses and auxiliary firefighting equipment.
- Perform routine checks to ensure pump readiness emergencies.
- Collaborate with firefighters and supervisors to coordinate effective water supply.
- Adhere to safety protocols and department regulations.
- Maintain accurate records of pumps operations, maintenance and repairs.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Electrical/Mechanical Engineering or related field.
- Minimum 3-5years of experience with the above responsibilities.
- Proven experience as a Water Pump Operator, preferably in firefighting or a related field.
- Willingness to work flexible hours, including weekends and holidays, as emergencies demands.
- Strong communication skills to coordinate with firefighting personnel.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a team.
