We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Protection Officer
Location: Kurfi LGA, Katsina
Employment Type: Contract
Job Summary
- Danuwa is dedicated to improving access to preventive, risk mitigation, and response services for survivors of sexual and gender-based violence (SGBV) in Katsina State.
- We are seeking a committed Protection Officer to join our team and support the implementation of protection activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and implement protection strategies based on global standards and UNICEF guidelines.
- Support to conduct training for community-based child protection committee members and volunteers.
- Facilitate access to medical care, psychosocial support, legal assistance, and safe spaces for SGBV survivors.
- Monitor and evaluate protection activities.
- Coordinate with local NGOs, government agencies, and other stakeholders.
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Law, or related field.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in child protection and SGBV programs.
- Understanding of humanitarian principles and protection standards.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work under pressure in diverse environments.
