The Opportunity

  • The post holder will oversee Child Protection in Emergency (CPiE) and Gender-Based Violence in Emergency (GBViE) activities in designated Local Government Areas (LGAs) of North East Nigeria and ensure that the project is implemented in accordance with the agreed work plan and as per the signed agreement with GFFO and Plan International National Office (Germany).
  • He/she will be providing hands-on guidance, support, mentoring, and coaching to CPiE and GBViE frontline staff Case Workers and PSS volunteers to ensure smooth and quality implementation of child protection and GBV in emergency projects.

About You

  • We are looking for applicant with a university degree in social work, human rights, law, psychology or a related field with a minimum of 3-5 years experience in child protection work with a humanitarian organization.
  • He/she should possess solid knowledge base and practical experience in community-based child protection approaches, case management, psychosocial support, and child participation methodologies, as well as experience managing the programme cycle, including assessments and report writing, and monitoring of indicators. The candidate must be able to show proficiency in computer skills and MS applications and should be able to communicates clearly, effectively and appropriately to the audience.
  • Knowledge of the Hausa language and other local languages used in the specific LGA applied for will be an added advantage.
