We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Project Event Planner
Location: Lagos
Key Responsibilities
- Event Planning and Strategy:Defining event goals, developing themes, and creating comprehensive event plans.
- Budget Management:Creating and managing event budgets, tracking expenses, and ensuring cost-effectiveness.
- Venue and Vendor Management:Â Researching, selecting, and negotiating contracts with venues and various vendors (catering, entertainment, etc.).
- Logistics and Operations:Â Coordinating event logistics such as transportation, accommodations, equipment setup, and on-site management.
- Client Communication and Relationship Management:Â Maintaining regular communication with clients, understanding their needs, and providing updates on event progress.
- Marketing and Promotion:Â Assisting with event promotion, including creating marketing materials and managing event-related social media.
- Post-Event Evaluation:Â Reviewing event performance, collecting feedback, and preparing post-event reports.
- Risk Management:Â Identifying potential risks and developing contingency plans to ensure smooth event execution.
Requirements
- Interested candidates should possess relevant qualifications with at least 7 years work experience.
Skills and Qualifications:
- Strong organizational and project management skills: Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills: Ability to communicate effectively with clients, vendors, and team members.
- Creative problem-solving: Ability to identify and resolve issues that may arise during event planning and execution.
- Attention to detail: Ensuring all aspects of the event are carefully planned and executed.
- Budget management skills: Ability to manage event budgets effectively and efficiently.
- Proficiency in event planning software and tools: Experience with event management software, CRM systems, and other relevant technologies.
- Knowledge of event industry trends: Staying up-to-date on the latest trends in event planning and technology.
- Experience in event planning, preferably in a corporate or agency setting: Demonstrable experience in planning and executing a variety of events.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team: Self-motivated and able to work effectively both independently and collaboratively.
- Flexibility and adaptability: Ability to adapt to changing circumstances and manage unexpected situations.
