We are recruiting to fill the position below:

Job Title: Production Pharmacist

Location: Ibadan, Oyo

Job Summary

  • As a Production Pharmacist, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth and compliant operation of pharmaceutical manufacturing processes.
  • Your responsibilities will encompass overseeing Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), optimizing plant capacity, and ensuring adherence to regulatory standards.

Responsibilities

  • Oversee and enhance Good Manufacturing Practices across all processes, optimize plant capacity, ensure process control/validation, and manage manufacturing and material usage for continuous improvement.
  • Authorize manufacturing processes, and oversee the release and delivery of finished goods.
  • Maintain regular communication with Health Authorities, providing management with relevant advice.
  • Collaborate with the head of engineering to standardize equipment weights and measures, ensuring adherence to safety regulations for equipment, buildings, and personnel.
  • Handle the registration of all company products with regulatory bodies.
  • Manage market complaints in conjunction with Quality Control/Quality Assurance.

Required Skills / Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy (BPharm.)
  • Proven experience in a pharmaceutical manufacturing environment, with a strong understanding of Good Manufacturing Practices (GMP), process validation, and regulatory compliance in the pharmaceutical industry.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of relevant regulations and guidelines
  • Experience in managing manufacturing processes, including authorization, release, and delivery of finished goods, as well as handling product registrations with regulatory authorities.
  • Strong communication skills, with the ability to liaise effectively with Health Authorities, management, and cross-functional teams.
