We are recruiting to fill the position below:
Job Title: Procurement Officer
Location: Abuja (FCT)
Employment Type: Full-time
Key Duties and Responsibilities
- S/he will assist in carrying out daily procurement activities
- S/he will assist in full compliance of procurement activities with WEWE rules, regulations, policies, and strategies
- S/he will assist in the preparation of procurement plans and their implementation /monitoring
- S/he will assist in organizing procurement meetings including the preparation
- S/he will assist in conducting RFQs or RFPs, and receipt of quotations, bids, or proposals.
- S/he will assist in raising the Purchase Request form for all request
- S/he will assist to ensure that the products and supplies are high quality
- S/he will assist in working with procurement team members to complete duties as needed
- S/he will assist to review and analyze all vendors/suppliers, supply, and price options
- S/he will assist to create and maintain good relationships with vendors/suppliers
- S/he will assist in maintaining records of vendors’ databases and other important data
- S/he will assist in inventory tracking and update
- S/he will assist in administrative activities
- S/he will assist staff as needed in creating clear and understandable purchase requests and other documentation.
- S/he will assist in ensuring that all supplies, services, and equipment required are delivered on time
- Carry out any other duties or tasks as assigned by the supervisor
Qualifications
- Graduate with a Bachelor’s Degree or Higher National Diploma (HND) in a relevant course such as Purchasing and Logistics, Purchasing and Supply, Business Studies, Supply Chain Management, Marketing, Business administration, or any Social or Management Science course.
- Must have a Second Class Upper or First Class or Upper Credit or Distinction.
Required Experience:

- 3-4 years of working experience as a procurement officer or any related field
- Ability to negotiate contracts
- Ability to multitask, prioritize, and manage time efficiently
- Excellent communication skills
- Accurate attention to detail
- Goal-oriented, organized team player
- Ability to work well with management and staff at all levels
- Excellent report-writing skills.
- Excellent computer skills.
- Ability to work long hours when needed.
- Strong analytical and research skills.
