Job Title: Policy Analyst Researcher (Consultant)
Location: Any City, Nigeria
Employment Type: Contract
Job Summary
- The Research Consultant will coordinate research activities across Nigeria, Mali, and Niger Republic.
- The project aims to investigate the complex relationships between climate change, conflict, and development in these regions.
- Our research will focus on how climate change exacerbates conflict and how conflict responses address climate change, with an emphasis on adaptive responses and peacebuilding strategies.
Key Responsibilities
- Designing and overseeing research methodologies, including literature reviews, data collection, and analysis.
- Employing a comparative case study approach, utilizing both qualitative and quantitative methods.
- Engaging with stakeholders to inform policy and practice based on research findings.
Requirements
- Ph.D. or MSc in Social Sciences or Development Studies.
- A minimum of 5 years of relevant research experience.
- Fluency in English French and Arabic
- A 2-page CV that includes a list of relevant publications to which the researcher has contributed.
- The successful candidate will have a robust background in research design, data collection, and analysis, particularly within the contexts of climate change, conflict, and peacebuilding.
