Job Title: Partnerships Manager

Job Summary
- The Partnerships Manager will play a pivotal role in shaping the future of healthcare in Nigeria.
- S/he will be a strategic connector, cultivating and managing partnerships that amplify Nigeria Health Watch’s impact.
- S/he will spearhead the development and execution of a comprehensive partnership strategy, identifying and securing collaborations with organizations that share our vision for a healthier Nigeria.
- The candidate will leverage requisite expertise in partnership development, communication, and advocacy to drive transformative change at local, sub-national, and national levels.
Scope of Services
Partnership Strategy & Development:
- Conduct market research and competitor analysis to identify potential partners.
- Develop a data-driven approach to prioritize and segment potential partners.
- Craft compelling partnership proposals that highlight the mutual benefits of collaboration.
- Negotiate and finalize win-win partnership agreements, ensuring alignment with strategic goals.
Relationship Management & Growth:
- Cultivate and manage strong relationships with key stakeholders across diverse sectors, including government agencies, NGOs, donors, and the private sector.
- Serve as the primary point of contact for assigned partners, ensuring clear communication and fostering trust.
- Proactively identify opportunities to expand existing partnerships and explore new collaboration possibilities.
Communication & Advocacy:
- Collaborate with internal teams to develop compelling communication materials that promote partnerships and amplify advocacy efforts.
- Manage partnership-related media outreach, including press releases, media appearances, and social media campaigns.
- Monitor and analyze communication metrics to evaluate the effectiveness of partnership messaging and recommend improvements.
Performance Measurement & Impact:
- Establish key performance indicators (KPIs) to track the success of each partnership.
- Monitor and analyze partnership performance, identifying areas for improvement and suggesting data-driven strategies for increased impact.
- Regularly report on partnership achievements and their contribution to the organization’s goals.
- Stay up to date with relevant issues and concerns in the health sector.
General Support:
- Network within the health sector to explore collaboration opportunities.
- Undertake additional tasks as assigned or needed.
Essential Competence
- A minimum of Bachelor’s Degree in Business Administration, Public Health, International Relations, Communications, or a related field. Master’s Degree in a relevant field would be a plus.
- 5+ years of experiencein partnership development, preferably within the healthcare sector or a related field.
- Proven track recordof successfully building and managing strategic partnerships that deliver tangible results.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skillswith the ability to build rapport and influence stakeholders at all levels.
- Strong negotiation and problem-solving abilitiesto navigate complex partnerships and overcome challenges.
- Passion for advocacyand a deep understanding of the Nigerian healthcare landscape.
- Exceptional project management skillswith the ability to manage multiple priorities, deadlines, and stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skillsto assess partnership performance and recommend data-driven strategies.
- Strong understanding of digital marketing principleswith the ability to leverage online platforms for partnership promotion.
- Excellent knowledge of MS Office and office management software.
- Knowledge and understanding of funds sourcing and project funding.
- Previous experience with an NGO.
