Job Summary
- We seek an experienced Part-Time Primary Art and Design Teacher to join our team to teach one day a week. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of art education within the British curriculum and a commitment to encouraging artistic expression in young learners.
The successful candidate will be
- An excellent teacher and subject specialist at primary level that can teach high quality art and design lessons to pupils at primary level ranging from year 1-6.
- Confidently be able to teach children drawing, painting, collage, printmaking, pottery, sculpture and model making techniques
- Confident in the use of computers and enthusiastic in using new technology to enhance learning.
- Skilled at fostering independent, pupil-led learning
- Maintain an inclusive and stimulating classroom environment that promotes artistic expression and appreciation.
- Able to assess and evaluate students’ artwork and progress, providing constructive feedback and support.
Requirements
- Must live within easy commuting distance of Jericho, Ibadan.
- B.A/HND Degree in Fine Arts
- Minimum of 3 years teaching experience
- Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office Package; especially Word and PowerPoint
- Excellent spoken and written communications skills
- Excellent organisational and interpersonal skills.
