Summary
- Will provide technical leadership and support related to clinical management of HIV/AIDS strategies and approaches in implementation of the programs.
- S/He will work with relevant stakeholders to coordinate the design and implementation of facility-based programs in relation to clinical management of HIV/AIDS, including the use of Anti-retroviral treatment, PMTCT, care and support, work with relevant staff and partners to coordinate the design and implementation of community-based programs in relation to community HTS and PMTCT including optimizing HIV case finding and linkage to care at supported health facilities, liaise with partners implementing community programs in order to optimize community-facility linkage of clients identified to be HIV positive and retention to care and treatment, support the provision of Pre-exposure Prophylaxis (PrEP) and ART in line with National and Global best practices and guideline.
- S/He will also provide technical assistance in non-ART clinical care including the management of opportunistic infections (OI) and Palliative care capacity for PLHIV, contribute to the development of program strategies, subproject documents, work plans and budgets and represent ECEWS to donors and government officials on issues of HIV/AIDS treatment, care and support at the State level.
Job Description
- Enrolling of positive clients on the EMR (NMRS)
- Ensure the optimization and full functionality of all supported Data bases (DHIS, DPT and NDR)
- Be able to interpret data and make meaningful suggestions and decisions from them.
- Ensure availability of all required and reportable Data.
- Triangulation of Enrolment Registers, ART Registers, Presumptive TB screening Register with Data on the EMR
- Entering of Pharmacy Care Card updates of new and returning client on the EMR
- Entering of Sample collection files of patients on EMR
- Generating of Manifest.
- Daily/weekly generation of line list and upload
- Establish and strengthen mechanisms for routine tracking and assessment of KPI outcomes.
- Assist community HTS entry on the NMRS
- Work closely with CBOs to ensure concurrence across all reportable indicators
- Regular backup of database
- Carry out every other task, as assigned by any State SI/Program Staff.
Minimum Recruitment Standard
- Bachelor’s Degree in Science, Social Science, Arts or Humanities
- Experience in M&E field
- At least 4 years’ post NYSC experience in developing country health care programs or program support function 4 years of which must be within an international NGO or equivalent.
- Minimum 4 years’ experience working on international health issues including HIV, with at least two years working on HIV/AIDS Prevention, Care and Treatment programs in resource poor settings.
- Extensive experience working with KPs.
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
- Knowledge of public health information, education, and communications methodology in an African development context.
- Experience supervising and/or training others preferred
- Demonstrated ability in maintaining close counterpart relationships, both governmental and in partner sites and communities
- Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work cross-culturally with diverse teams
- High degree of judgment, maturity, ingenuity and originality to interpret strategy, to analyze, develop and present work and to monitor and evaluate implementation of programs.
- Fluency in written and spoken English Proficiency with other local languages.
